Experience Is The New Currency!

Luxury is changing, and what mattered most to us only a decade ago, isn’t even attractive anymore. Guests don’t rate hotels by its amenities and luxurious settings anymore, they’ll judge them by the experiences they provide them… experiences and memories that last long after they depart.

historical-gold-prices-1Experiences cannot be measured in money, but are so much more valuable in adding meaning to our life. An experience is invaluable, not subject to inflation, lasts for a lifetime, and is the new and most stable currency ever.If you believe that we go through life with 20 percent intellect and 80 percent emotion, than any business that is able to go beyond the value of the pure products or goods it provides, and is able to connect with you on an emotional level will be successful.

Imagine checking into a hotel with beautiful flower arrangements, glamorous crystal chandeliers and shiny marble floors in the lobby. A hotel  that features rooms with state of the art technology, fancy bath amenities and the most luxurious linen. This is the way of luxury from yesterday!

Now imagine checking into a hotel where you’re greeted with a heart warming smile, where the receptionist is chatting with you about the purpose of your stay magically knowing your preferences and giving recommendations to make your experience even more enjoyable. Coming to your room, a personalized hand-written note from the GM awaits you welcoming you back to your home away from home telling you how good it is to have you back. The new way of luxury is the feeling of human connection and moment of true, honest meaning that it provides you! Flowers, amenities and chandeliers by themselves cannot make this connection!

What’s the difference? The difference is that emotional connection cannot be created with goods or products, it needs a story behind it that involves people. A story that you can connect with memories and feelings!
